Unbelievable
Hey All,
For those who don’t know yet, I am going to Africa! Here’s the whole story…
Yesterday (Tuesday the 8th of january) I found out I’ll be going to Africa for 70 days, I got asked if I wanted to go just 2 days before by a classmate (Beer) who was looking for a replacement for his teammate (Peter) who couldn’t go because of a medical problem. I had nothing else planned and since it’s free I really had to say “yes” so I did.
Its for a project called virusfreegeneration, my role for the project will be updating the website and editing short video blogs called “Webisodes” (together with beer), more details on the project later…
I’ll be visiting 4 countries, South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania and Malawi. Getting an internet connection will be a big task in some of these countries so I don’t know how much I’ll be able to update, and if I’ll be able to post pictures or just text. Its probably gonna be a cellphone connection, which is why this blog is so basic (<10kb).
Today I got to meet the team, and I had to sign some papers (for a Visa to get into Tanzania) which made it all very real, and also strange because it still has to hit home in a way. I also made an appointment to get 5 vaccines for Monday…
